Job Description and Tasks: Participate as an Individual Contributor supporting program activities including serving as the Responsible Engineering Authority for programs. These responsibilities include: Execution of assigned program related tasks, including leading gate reviews, design reviews and sustaining maintenance and support Continuation & enhancement of the design and maintenance process across all related programs including Technical Data Package updates Make critical engineering judgments with minimal review by supervisor and/or an outside subject matter expert with regard to failures, new designs, and/or integration/verification decisions specific to the TDD itself Lead a technical team in the effective and efficient execution of program tasks, collaborating well with other engineering disciplines and factory personnel to accomplish work as thoroughly yet efficiently as possible NOTE: This position can be a Sr. Electrical Engineer I or Sr. Electrical Engineer II based on the candidate's qualifications as they relate to the skills, experience and responsibility requirements for the position. Required Skills: o Knowledgeable of RF/Radar analysis methods in the entire lifecycle of subsystems development from proposal & requirements through production support. o Familiarity with System Thinking in Radar Basic Concepts, RF Signal Processing, Digital Signal processing, HW/SW Integration & Test Process and Procedures. o Demonstrate knowledge of advanced technical concepts in Radar systems and their application to larger work products. o Strong problem solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges and develop plans for their execution. o Experience in preparing final documentation with minimal revision and review. o Hardware/software integration and troubleshooting experience. o Must have a minimum of 4 years professional engineering experience with the technological aspects of communications systems design, data link hardware development, algorithm development, or digital signal processing. Desired Skills: Master's/Ph. D degree in EE, Math or Physics in RF systems design. o Experience in RF Subsystems and a working understanding of architecture, design, and integration processes of target detection devices and proximity sensor electronics, algorithms, simulations and signal processing. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop and present comprehensive technical briefings to peers and to program and customer leadership. o Ability to lead multi-disciplined engineering teams in order to develop and sustain RF products across the life cycle. o Experience with cost and schedule development for large RF system development efforts. o Ability to read electrical schematics and assembly drawings. o Experience with Document change processes and tools including cPDM Windchill. o Ability to write, interpret and implement test requirements documents and test plans. o Ability to adjust and operate general test equipment: power supplies, scopes, DMMs. o Knowledge of Power PC, Altera FPGA, SHARC SW/FW loading. o Knowledge of JTAG Technologies tools.
